8 Beautiful Play + Craft Printables [free!]

Posted by Little Mash on

Hands up if you have scrolled through Pinterest, spotted something stunning, gotten terribly excited, clicked the link and BOOM! Etsy store. Gah so devastating (unless of course you're not a cheap-o like me who refuses to purchase printable crafts).

I'm always on the lookout for easy art projects for my daughter that use only the most basic supplies like a pair of scissors, glue and crayons. Of course we have a stash of pom poms, glitter and popsicle sticks too - but in my experience these kinds of crafts require a lot more supervision, and while fun on occasion, I prefer to set up a project that she can mostly manage and complete herself. Bonus points if they are also beautiful and something I won't mind laying around the house.

Listed below are a few we have made in the past, and with the school holidays on the horizon you may like to have a few of these up your sleeve too. They are a little more on the girly side. Truth be told I have zero experience with boys and have no idea what they would like, sorry!

1. PAPER DOLLS

Four different characters that can be coloured any beautiful colour of skin tone. They can get creative with hair, even unicorn hair! Includes 6 themed pages to colour and dress up….tea party, back to school, cozy + cute, fancy picnic and slumber party! Download the printable HERE (crecit: Lacee Swan)

2. CAFE FOOD

My daughter loved pretend play when she was little, and this Cafe' Food design is darling + the set comes with printable plates. Download the printable HERE (credit: Play with CMYK)

3. ONE PAGE FOLDUP BOOK

These little blank books are full of possibility! And the best part is each book is made from just a single sheet of folded paper. Download the printable HERE (credit: Kitchen Table Classroom)

4. PAPER CHARM NECKLACE

This is a fantastic craft for slumber parties, birthday parties and any get togethers with friends! Download the printable HERE (credit: Lacee Swan)

5. BUILD YOUR OWN CUPCAKE

If you own a set of kids scissors, and your child has a little experience with cutting they should be able to cut most of the elements out, but I definitely encourage adult supervision... the cake toppers are a little more intricate and require a little more cutting skill. 6. BOUQUET OF FLOWERS

Blooms that won’t wither and die after a week! Best of all, you can print out these paper flowers and fashion a recycled vase in no time - the perfect craft for kids of all ages! Download the printable HERE (credit: Minted)

7. MATRYOSHKA NESTING DOLLS

I have always loved the intricate designs of Matryoshka nesting dolls. Here’s a cute free printable that celebrates these adorable dolls and provides a fun lacing activity. These cards are great for practicing your children’s fine motor skills or stitching for beginning sewers. Download the printable HERE (credit: Hello Wonderful)

8. PAPER CROWNS

Perfect for kings, queens, New Years Eve or birthday parties! Download the printable HERE (credit: The House that Lars Built)

Enjoy!
